A friend of mine sold a soft cab 969 wrecker a while back, because
under heavy use there was a noticable clutch slip and he thought
(without manual of course) that replacing the clutch would involve
dismantling half the vehicle to do it. I always maintained that the
designers of these things weren't that silly, and that you could
probably do it by taking a drive shaft off the rear of the gearbox and
drawing it back. It is academic really, but has anyone on the list
actually done the clutch change on a 969, and if so is it man-hours or
man-days to complete ? Gordon 8-)

Anyone who want's to know what this truck looks like can see a hard cab
version doing some work at;
