[MV] Web coloring

Having WWII reenacted since 1983, reenactors are very picky about web
gear color. Although green web gear is correct for WWII, it is
generally greatly discouraged for being late war. I never really
thought twice about this regarding my GPW until I bought the pioneer
tool strap and it came a nice dark OD green. Is khaki for WWII MV's
just like for web gear--thus correct through about late '44/early
'45--or was the webbing OD through-out?

I am surmising that even if the straps were khaki, they probably got
painted with the vehicle, thus making them olive drab regardless.

I was just curious about this one--maybe it's just the reenactor "stich
nazi" coming out in me. Tim
