Do you mean the reenforcement rail on the inside of the driver's side panel?
The one the fuel tank straps attach to (on an MB)? If so, I just had a
sheetmetal shop bend a hat channel out of 16 guage steel (galvanized, about
15 bucks) and then modified it to fit. Works great and looks original.
(Did the same thing with all of the hat channels under the floor, too)
