Hey all,
Been awhile! I had to dump my subscription to the list 'cause I broke my
'puter. I later found out that unlike my M151A1, IBMs don't like to be jump-
started with 24 volt 60 amp DC. Anyway, been a long winter and my poor MUTT
has taken a beating! As you may or may not remember, I'm the crazy bastard
that uses a 1968 M151A1 as a daily driver in the "tropical" state of Maine. If
you recall The Ice Storm here that made national news and shut down the
state...that's one reason she could use a bit of TLC! I spent over a week
poundind the crud outta the MUTT pulling cars, trucks, trees, telephone poles,
and CMP linemen out of ditches, fields, and front porches! Heck I even got
flagged down by the National Guard to pull a ancient oak tree off a back road
(they were a bit surprised to find I was a civvie).
Three full tanks of fuel were spent doing all of this and I incurred ALOT of
body damage to myself and my MUTT!
I have some GREAT pictures that I can download as soon as I get them on disk,
such as my M151 COATED in over three inches of solid ice, the MUTT parked next
to a stuck Hummer, and good ol' me pullin' out a line service truck with a 1/4
ton vehicle, etc.
