I think I'm more intelligent than that. These fittings are for sewage
(chemical resistant.) I did test one before I installed them. These are made
of the same rubber chemical resistant boots are made out off.

I advise real caution here! Most rubbers do not stand up well to gas. The
best one might hope for is a carb clogged with crap, but the result may well
be a fire. Please, please, PLEASE check to see that the fuel lines are
rated for use with gasoline!
