[MV] dropping jeeps

In between 1963 and 1967 I lived in Metz France with
my family, as my dad was stationed there. I was young, aged
6 to 10. I remember the U. S. airforce dropping jeeps on
exercises. It was a big enough event as a heck of a lot of
soldiers, civilian staff and their families went to watch.
They were also experimenting with tanks I don't know
what damage was caused to tanks or jeeps but it was real
fun to watch. Reading about air dropping jeeps on the list
brought back a lot of good memories.
