The magazine the photo was in is Radio news,1944 Signal corps issue.
the tire is on the passenger side behnd the rear wheel. Caption,
American jeep,radio equipped,together with other equipment just landed
at an Alaskan base after Japs were driven out. Operator reading amessage
,various pieces of gear lying about,makeshift windbreak attached to jeep
and a carbine lying on top of some stuff in a trailer parked next to
jeep. Radio is on other side of jeep so dont think tire was moved to
make room for it. ? Gary
