I was at a junk yard this summer, they had a
M-5 high speed tractor with a large winch on
front. I believe they were 20,000 pounds, but
it was the first one I had seen up close. The spool
looked alot bigger than a 2 1/2ton truck, it was PTO.
Pretty neat unit, all armor was removed above the
tracks. They used it for crushing cars until they got
a small dozer. It was for sale,I think he wanted $1800.
Was running a couple years ago. Looked like alot of
work. Central Iowa.
I have pictures but no scanner (maybe Santa is watching.)
