Worth a comment or two..

my shipping of Dodge and Sno-cat from the US to Sctoland was relatively
painless but quite time-consuming, and just in volved finding a local
shipping agent with US contacts who organized a consolidated container
shipment. I remember that the container with my Carryall also contained a
Ford model T and a Honda m/c for some reason. Customs should not be a
problem within the US, but if you are shipping out of the US to anywhere
the US Customs will not let it ship without a valid title - even if, as in
the case of my Carryall, it was a pile of rusty bits from two original
vehicles.

It pays to negotiate the best possible deal as regards price on the
original vehicle too, with delivery to the port included, as importing
customs people charge large taxes based on value of vehicle and shipment
cost. I saved some money by NOT insuring the Carryall while shipping it.
On investigating the fine print the insurance would only have covered a
total loss (the ship sinks - not very likely) and the value of the vehicle
did not warrant a big premium for accidental damage in transit. Be aware
too of the size limitations of containers, particularly width and height.
Look at all the possibilities but consolidated container shipments worked
for me. Gordon
