Hi! Your engine is made to run at 45 mph max. Gearing rear etc. I am told
that running M38A1 over 45 on a regulatr basis will ruin the engine. You
need to get the civy overdrive unit to be able to do 50-55mph on a regular
basis. My 52 M38A1 does 50-55 mph also, but the engine wineing told me it
could not be good for it. Have fun- Watch out for the brakes, they suck
when dry and are worse when wet. Not made to stop jeep going 50-55 mph
quickly.
