Steve, & all Australian MV thread readers,
(Apologies to all non-Aussies on this one, plus it being of non-MV thread.)

Call me naive, Steve, but I hope this enthusiast friend of ours only wants a
drawing of the darn thing. If he or she is planning to build one, and then
(naively) display it, I sincerely hope he has either a
"Theatrical/Re-Enactment Permit" or "Collectors Permit".

Have a look at the NSW Firearms Act 1996 No46 page 64 Schedule 1 -
Prohibited Firearms Item 7. Quote "Any firearm that substantially duplicates
in appearance (regardless of calibre) a firearm referred to in Item, 1,5 or
6." (in other words a self loading machine gun). I think a Vickers might
just fit that description.

PROHIBITED MEANS JUST THAT. This is a 10 year event if convicted. Get the
permit if this person doesn't already have one. We don't need the anti-gun
lobby targetting MV owners here in Australia too.

So to be such a bother Steve, just trying to protect our collective butts.

Best Wishes,

John Edwards
