I read your messages of demilling US vehicles with interest.=20
Please always remember:
In Germany we had a (virtually) complete demilling in 1945.
Weapons, vehicles, aircraft and so on was collected and
destroyed by the Allies. (Including more than 100 combat ready
submarines type XXI, which nerver saw service)=20
All civilian persons were forced to give away all fire arms
(including hunting riffles etc.) The Allies also collected and
burnt all military related books and all books relating history
from 1914 to 1945.
A lot of this stuff went to the US as war trophy. That's the
reason, why these items are so rare here.
So the situatuion for the collector of US-stuff is miles better=20
than the situation for the collector of German stuff ever was.
One good message: It is no problem to get a (legal) title for
a Hummer or a M151 here in Germany.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all friends of OD and
Panzergrau.
