from my (hazy) memories of a friend's 'T' and the starting / charging
system. His has two SIX VOLT batteries on it, which were in parallel for
charging purposes, but went into series for starting when the pedal was
pushed. I seem to remember all the interconnection was at the starter
switch.

I can't see where 'your' truck would have got a 24 volt starter from.......
