I thought that all hot-shotters had to be DOT certified, registered,
enslaved, etc anyway? They are clearly doing commercial cartage work.
Were some trying to avoid the DOT and now the DOT is no longer allowing
it to happen? Virtually all or the RV haulers in Northern Indiana have
DOT numbers on their truck doors.
However again, I think that the farm vehicle provision in the DOT rules
keeps most of us out of trouble with the DOT.
