Electrically driven high pressure washers will work just as well, it is the
GPM and pressure to shop for, BUT to get the capacity you need for this work,
it will have to be a 230 volt unit, with a 7 1/2 HP or larger motor. Not
available at Wal-Mart, etc. If all you want is cold water, I'd go with the
gasoline driven machine, If you want heated water I'd seriously consider the
electric powered unit with a natural gas burner for permanent intallations,
or an oil fired burner for portable use.
If all you are going to do is one truck, this type of equipment will be cost
prohibitive (A GOOD hot, high pressure washer will cost more than the truck
you are stripping). They can, however, be rented.
