I recently restored an M170 for my Dad. It was an ex-Marine vehicle that had
been transfered at some point to USAF. The truck was strata blue. As I was
going back USMC, I didn't document the markings on it, however I have a USAF
530B fire truck (built on a 2 1/2 ton 6x6), and a book on markings. I am
late checking my email, if you still need info, leet me know and I'll look it
up. From MEMORY (will confirm when I look up), the first two digits of the
registraion # are the last two digits of the year manufactured.
