I ran into a problem earlier today that you learned persons may be able to
help with.
I went to the local NAPA dealer to get some new bolts to mount the left
front spindle and brake backing plate onto the steering knuckle on my 1943
GPW. I took along the parts book and manual for the jeep to show them what
I needed. The parts book gives the following description:
3/8-24NF-3x3/4
The NAPA guy and I understood the "3/8-24NF" part.....but not the
3x3/4...he thought if called for a 3 and 3/4 inch bolt....which would be
WAY TOO LONG. I ended up getting sone 3/4 inch long bolts that seem to fit
fine. SO...what does the "3x3/4" really mean?
thanks
