>> These were commonly bright yellow with the prominent "CD" logo somewhere.
>Heres one of the TAMSAR (a auixillry of CD) trucks that is in use today in West
Texas, It is painted bright yellow. The CD triangle logo is not visable ,
but it is a 9 inch dia. disk on the tailgate, as well as a 2 inch dia disk
on the windshield on the right side. The department also has a M151 that is
painted the same yellow color with the cd logo on the sides, hood and rear.
I am tring to get pictures of it. It has been in service with this team
since 1975, and belonged to the new mexico civil defense prior to that.

>I have also seen CD trucks painted blue, those are actually air force trucks
that were surplused to the Civil Air Patrol, with the CAP logo on the door
and on the top.
>Current guidelines establish for all corprate vehicles to be painted Federal
Yellow, which is the color of this CUCV, or flat white, The logo is a
reflective 2 inch OR a 9 inch circle with the triangle and the letters CD on
the top, rear, and a 2 inch logo visable from the front. They can also have
9 inch logos on the doors.
>Camo and OD trucks are usually military trucks that have been assigned to civil
defense for a period of 2-5 years and then surplused, they usually were not
repainted, as a cost cutting thing, just had logos affixed to the doors and
the front.
>The TAMSAR truck was actually desert tan when we got it a year ago, instead of
actually having it painted professionly, we simply took a sample of Federal
Yellow paint down to the paint store, had them match it, and put it in spray
bottles and we did it ourselves.
>The red stencils on the door are not there anymore, we painted over them, and
are appliying the CD logo, and the word TAMSAR instead.
>I hope this has been a help, sorry about the length, and my horrible speling
