You have now learned lesson #1 for easy-outs, they have very limited
application and if one twisted the stud/bolt off to start with due to siezed
threads..... the easy-out will do no better. It's alot easier to drill out
a hard bolt/stud than to drill out an easy-out or a tap that is made from
tool steel.

My prefered method, if you can/want to remove the engine is to go to most
any tool and die shop and have the thing 'burned' out, electrically.

There is another method that some people/machinist say works well and that
is to use acid. This of course will eat everything, but the point is to eat
just enought of the thread (be it in the block or the stud) such that it can
then be turned out. Works best when laying flat so you can make a dam out
of clay or something. Go to rec.crafts.metalworking on usenet and ask the
question, you'll get a dozen replies real quick. I've never been that
desparate to try this yet.

You can also go in there with a die grinder and start eating out the remains
of both. Once you get the easy-out out the rest should be easy.

Lots of other options also, just depends how creative and/or desperate you are!
