So although a petition is always a hard thing to get done, the
avenue does appear to exist. I'd be interested to hear what Mr. Gilmore
thinks about this option.
Personally I think a more expeditous route would be concentrate pressure on a
third board member (selected as most likely to be swayed), to join the other
2 who Mr. Gilmore indicates favor his being on the ballot, as section 3.10
provides that a special election may be called by any three board members
with out need for petition drive, or need for posting bond.
Again, I am not advocating the overthrough of the government or anything,
rather a viable act to get this all resolved rather than going through more
weeks of bickering.
I am not making light of the controversy surrounding the MVPA, this is
important if for no other reason than that this is the US's largest
organization dedicated to preserving, restoring and operating MV's, and
politics and elections are a part of any orgainzation, but this list was much
more entertaining when the major issues were things like what Jerry can goes
on a 43 MB...
Hopefully, my final .02 on this subject,
David Doyle
