All these comments about the WC series are valid: slow speed,
poor braking, heavy steering, terrible gas mileage etc... BUT I
must say: the Dodge CarryAll is one of the best-looking vehicles
of WW2 vintage. I have looked for one for a long time (while I
was still in France), only to "settle" for a Willys MB in the
end... It seems that very few CarryAlls were actually sent to
the ETO, compared to the large numbers of ambulances and weapons
carriers...
Since I came to the US of A, I have seen several for sale, but
often abused by surfers who favored the carryall: They could not
only haul their boards on sandy beaches, but could also
sometimes live in them, with addition of some awning...
Carryalls rule!
