[MV] mule engine flooding/dying

history, 2 cyl mule would run for 3-4 minutes and die of what seemed like
fuel starvation. removed tank, cleaned, and replaced filters with no change.
ran in shop and seemed to flood and foul plugs very easily. removed intake
line from air cleaner and fuel ran out of line. went thru several escapades
of this and finally decided to replace carb. during replacement found fuel
overflow return line to tank plugged. cleared out fouling and engine still
runs for short period of time, quits and fuel runs out of the line form the
air cleaner. disconnected the fuel overflow/return line and good flow to open
ended line with the same behavior. has anyone run into this problem or have
suggestions?? thanks, david
