I watched a man die and then fry as he stepped casually off a boom truck
whose mast was in high voltage wires. The truck tires were blazing and the
69 year old Korean war vet ignored our screams to jump clear. It was not a
sight I will forget.

You are correct about jumping clear of the vehicle that is being
electocuted, jump clear completely, and then run the hell away. Keep your
antennae down, especially near buildings where the service lines drop down
lower to connect to buildings.

My 2 cents worth!
