True, but not so for tows under 25-30 miles or at low speeds which will do
no damage. Chevy manual says so-and Ive done so numerous times without
problems. Long hauls to the hunting lease (@200 miles), I always, as you
suggest, take driveshaft off of differential (easy to do) and suspend with
coat hanger or such.
