Here is what I went through with the HUMMER I got at the Auction.
First off, lots of pieces were missing and lots of wires were cut.
After fixing all this..it ran terrible. I went through the glow plugs. One
had the end missing..the vehicle smoked real bad, the starter also sometimes
would not turn the engine over--just spun very noisy. So I said---pull the
engine---
The end of the glow plug was no where to be found--pistons looked good,
valves too. Next, the flywheel went in the trash. Half the teeth were gone.
New starter went on..all new hoses went on. Fuel system was full of water
(salt)..the filter was plugged shut (anyone have any??) I had one. Now the
engine is almost ready to go back in.
The Auction House was supposed to send me some of the missing stuff-no sign
of it yet--anybody else get it ??? I didn't. It was hell..and I thought I
got a good one..yeah.. Be careful guys.. 1SG PANTANO
