I saw this jeep on the TRADER ON LINE site. I thought a friend of mine
might be interested, but he passed on even looking into it. I called
the fellow who has the jeep and he said he was looking to get $1800 for
the jeep. The web address for the jeep is below if you're interested in
looking at a picture.
I forgot the guy's name who's selling the jeep, but he seemed honest and
informed. He has owned jeeps for sometime he said, but was not
interested in any military jeeps. This is why he was selling the MB.
(He said he picked it up in a deal with a CJ) The jeep has some
problems that he told me about:
T-90 trans, no hinged section on the windshield(One big piece of plexi
glass), glove box door is missing (along with the data plates), Tub has
rust on the tail (Floorboards are not original), No bumperettes, No air
cleaner, No tail lights, Wrong wheels (15 in instead of 16 in) it has a
12 volt battery and a coil.
The jeep needs a lot of work, but if you live near the west coast of
Florida and are interested in an old MB this may be for you. I am in no
way connected to the seller, and am passing along this information to
the board to help save an old military jeep.
