My mother (85 years old, but don't tell her I spilled the beans....), heard that
I procured an old "Willy's" jeep, and she said "you mean Willis?". She was born
and raised in Kansas. They had or at least were familiar with that manufacturer
for it's other cars.
I suspect the correct pronunciation is indeed, Willis (will-iss). Comments
