I called a local auto A/C shop about retro fitting A/C
in my M1008. They gave me a very rough quote of about
$1500 to install a "stock-looking" system. I don't
remember if I told them about the 2 alternator set-up.
The M1010 ambulance has an A/C unit in it...I assume
it has 24V system. I guess I could look in the parts
breakdown TM to find out what alternator/compressor it
has. I wonder if the brackets have a GM part number
that is still available??
Is it possible to charge both batteries of a 24V
system with a single high-output alternator?
Things that make you go hmmmmmm???
