Thanks Dan, I'd guess that if the trailer brakes worked fine and were
dialed in then braking wouldn't be an issue.

This is good to hear as it sounds like I may get by with a M35 or
something else more common. I'm also interested to hear about how the
trannies hold up under various tow loads.
