Thanks for the information John, my August 42 WC56 has a matched pair
of headlight grilles with the wires on the front, so they must have
produced trucks with the blackout light (and matching drivers big
grille with 'drilled' wires) before they finished production of the
symmetrical headlight grilles then?

I thought the change from symmetrical to extended headlight guards (and
b/o light) happened after the wires had been moved to the front but it
must have been the other way round. regards Gordon, Falkirk, Scotland
