What kind of "new" gas are we talking about. In Indiana, USA, we commonl=
y
have 10% ethanol (hey, there is a lot of corn around here!) or regular 10=
0%
petro. Oxygenated gas is being used in some of the cities that require
emissions checks. Fortunately I escaped that mess when I moved out of
Cincinnati. That city has a major pollution problem that they do not wan=
t
to deal with. It is in a valley and the crud in the air just hangs over
the city in the summer. My asthma virtually disappeared when I left. I
went from using an inhaler and pills everyday to using nothing. Accordin=
g
to City management, they don't have a problem though.
Anyway, getting back on the subject. I have kept gas in tanks for up to =
2
years previously without problems. However it does seem like I've had mo=
re
fuel problems in the last couple years. Perhaps they gas is degrading mo=
re
quickly. =
