Re: [MV] WWII Jeep Radio Antenna - SAFETY

A SAFETY WARNING

Avoid electrocution! This year one or two Canadian soldiers (at CFB Petawawa
I believe) were elctrocuted when their vehicle's antenna touched an
overhead power line. I have heard of other such incidents in the past.

IF your antenna line does hit a power line, do NOT step/climb out of the
vehicle! The rubber tires may be saving your life (by insulating you) and if
you touch the ground while touching the vehicle, we will be reading your
obituary in this mailing list. I believe it is best to wait for help. In
extreme emergency, one could JUMP clear - being in the air without touching
vehicle and ground at same time.

Comments anyone? Am I right?
