There is a serious falling out it seems between the organisers and IMPS, I
will post the letter in the files of MVList@yahoogroups.com as I cannot do
it here.

My personal observations, which could be erroneous, are, allegedly:
Beltring is run by a limited company as a money making business.
It was taken/given from IMPS having outstretched them.
IMPS probably get a substantial donation in consideration.
The directors of W&P limited, who own the rights, name and showground itself
probably want to detach from the IMPS in all respects.
We have noted and complained about the increasing costs and the reducing
(always were little above zero) facilities.
Every exhibitor pays to make the show for W&P Ltd by entrance fees and
support car fees.
There current owners are persons of substantial means and business people,
you don't necessarily get here by being philanthropic.
IMPS can likely take it or leave it, they are out-gunned by W&P Ltd.

The accounts of W&P Ltd are published as required by English law, perhaps
someone would like to spend the 50 quid at the local library and get the
accounts in full or have a word with Dunn & Bradstreet. Knowing that
accounts are depressed as far as possible to reduce taxation but get by
officialdom, I think money-spinner will still be apt.

I am meeting more and more people now who will not attend Beltring, _they_
give the reasons variously as:
Rip-off.
Too big and faceless
An accident waiting to happen.
