Hi List...

With all the talk about MREs lately, I need to ask a related question.

Last year I bought a bunch of large tray-shaped cans of foods from a
surplus dealer Bill Porter in Barstow, CA. He got them I think from
Ft. Irwin. Bill and his yard are apparently gone now.

These tins are about 10" wide by 12" long by 3" tall. They each
contain 18 portions.

These foods are actually great. Chicken breasts in gravy, lasagna,
cakes, rice dishes (OK, the rices were horrible), spiced apples, sweet
potatoes, all sorts of great items. And the dealer would sell them
for $4 for an entre and $2 for cakes and side dishes.

Here is a picture of a few I have left:

My questions:

1.) Does anyone on this list know about these?

2.) Where are these available surplus?

MV-Related Content: These are delicious when eaten in or near a
military vehicle.

Thank you!
