hi.
I started the truck today and it built up pressure to about 40 lbs. Then I
heard air leak
out for about 30 seconds or so. I stepped on the brake pedal a few times
and viola!
hissing stopped. The pressure built up as it normally would do and
everything was OK.
I continued hitting the brakes a bunch of times with no problems. So...
It appears that something was stuck in the air hydraulic cylinder and is now
unstuck. I will
be sure to abide by several list readers comments to lubricate and keep
lubricated the air
hydraulic cylinder.
A couple list members suggested a fault with a fording kit. If a kit was
partially installed,
what would I expect to see? Does it tap into the air hydraulic cylinder?
I do NOT have any air lines to the axle vents or to the flywheel cover.
thanks again for this list. If ever in the Pittsburgh area and you need
help,
let me know. A large garage and a place to stay is available 20 miles
south-east
of Pittsburgh.
